Overview
Astro Miner ("the app") is developed and published by Saturn Software. This policy explains what data the app interacts with, why, and how you can reach us about it.
Data We Collect
Astro Miner does not require an account, and does not collect your name, email address, or location. Gameplay progress and settings are stored locally on your device; the only data that leaves the device is described in the sections below.
Leaderboards and League
Astro Miner takes part in our global leaderboards and weekly league automatically. To do this, the app creates a random install key on your device; our server (hosted on Cloudflare) derives an anonymous identifier from it and stores, against that identifier, an in-game display name and your game scores (weekly, monthly and all-time) and league standing. The display name is generated for you (for example "QuasarMiner417") and you can change it in the game; it is shown to other players together with your scores, badges and the date you joined (on the league tables and your player card). No real name, email, phone number or contact list is involved.
You can hide yourself from the league tables at any time (Settings → Show me in the League). Your scores are then kept out of every table other players see; the game itself is not affected.
Gameplay Analytics
To understand where the game is confusing or too hard, Astro Miner sends anonymous gameplay events to our own server (hosted on Cloudflare): for example "tutorial step reached", "order delivered", "session ended", together with the app version, the language and a coarse country derived from the request. Events are linked only to the same anonymous identifier described above, never to your advertising ID, name or contact details. We do not store your IP address with them, never sell them and never use them for advertising.
Daily activity summaries are kept for at most 13 months and then deleted automatically.
Google Play Games
If you use Google Play Games on your device, the app may sign in to it automatically so your achievements and an optional cloud copy of your game progress are kept with your Play Games profile. This is provided by Google under its own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy); you manage it from the Play Games app.
When you are signed in to Play Games, the app obtains a one-time authorization code from Google and sends it to our server, which verifies it with Google and links your Play Games player ID to your leaderboard account. This lets the same Google account bring back your display name, league standing and badges on a new phone. Only that player ID is stored; your email address, real name and contacts are never requested. To have the link removed, contact us using the details on this page.
Google Play Integrity
To keep the leaderboards fair, before scores are sent the app asks the Google Play Integrity API whether it is the unmodified version installed from Google Play and whether the device passes basic integrity checks. Our server stores only the verdicts Google returns and uses them to reject scores from modified apps or rooted devices. The verdict is produced by Google (policies.google.com/privacy) and contains no personal information.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app shows ads through Google AdMob to keep the free version running. AdMob may process device identifiers such as your advertising ID to serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud. See Google’s explanation at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Users in the EEA/UK are shown a Google-mandated consent (UMP) form before any personalized ads are requested, and can decline personalized advertising there. You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time from your device settings.
Purchases (Google Play Billing)
Optional in-app purchases are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We never see or store your payment details — that information is handled by Google under its own privacy policy.
Data Sharing
Saturn Software does not sell your data. The only third parties involved are the service providers named above (Cloudflare (game servers), Google AdMob, Google Play Billing, Google Play Games Services, Google Play Integrity API), each acting under their own privacy terms.
Children's Privacy
Astro Miner is not directed at children and is not knowingly used to collect data from children. The app's Play Store audience is not marked as designed for children.
Your Choices
Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data. You can reset your advertising identifier or opt out of ad personalization from your device settings at any time.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. The date below reflects the last revision. Continued use of Astro Miner after a change means you accept the updated policy.
